RWQM The Sediment Transport Sub Model
Sediment transport describes the movement of suspended solids within the water body and the deposition and resuspension processes that occurs at the water/bed interface.
The sediment transport model uses the output of the 2D depth-averaged hydrodynamic model and the results of scientific field studies to describe the processes affecting cohesive sediment within the Moreton Bay system. In this study, sediment loads, predicted by the MBCM and from point sources (such as industry), are transported throughout the model domain undergoing advection, dispersion, resuspension, deposition, burial and consolidation.
